Setting The Foundation

The ESDL research team participated in the CUMULUS 2025 Conference in Nantes, hosted by l’École de Design Nantes Atlantique. As part of the conference, the team presented the paper “How conversation theory can frame educational planning”.

In addition, the ESDL team co-hosted the first “Systemic Design in Design Education“ Working Group together with Prof. Dr. Susu Nousala (CSRP Institute). The working group introduced conference participants to the ESDL project, as well as allowing them to explore their own perspectives on Systemic Design through collaborative activities. The session concluded with a group reflection on expectations and possible directions for upcoming CUMULUS conferences.
